Family fun Friday

Charlee and Delilah came into town and we were so excited to see them! We met them at a nearby elementary school for their fun run/fundraiser carnival. The girls had so much fun getting their faces painted, hair painted, and playing lots of fun carnival games. Max liked all the people-watching.

A little confused when Delilah dropped her pants for the picture... it was hilarious!

You really should have seen the bath tub afterwards. But it was totally worth it! We love it when we get to see the Taylors.

Another funny thing from Friday: it was kind of an insane day. I was making pizza for dinner, and I made enough to take to a family in our ward that just had a baby. I wasn't really sure how to deliver it, and I really didn't want to give them something they'd have to return. So, I cut a large circle out of a diaper box to put the pizzas on and covered them with foil. Maybe it was a little trashy - hopefully I didn't offend them - but hey, it worked!

Funny kids

Green smoothie --> popsicle --> puddle

At least he liked it!

Millie loves taking silly pictures to send to Daddy.

Someone got to the clean dishes before I did and left me a little present!

I love his little smile behind the sippy cup. This boy loves to be outside no mattter how hot/sweaty he gets.

Millie switched it up and asked for a pajama tea party! And that big smile is entirely due to the cookies on the plate.

I love it when Max just chills out for a minute. At this age, Millie was very go-go-go, and Max is too a lot of the time, but he knows how to relax a little too!

Random

Uncle Tim headed off to BYU this week, so the kids and I went up to have lunch with him one last time. Wish he could have stayed around longer but he's going to have so much fun and do great things. We'll miss him!!

Not a great picture, but a great moment! I love it when Millie is sweet to Max. Also, these capes Gigi gave them are adorable. And reversible. So double-adorable.

He always finds his way into the bike trailer when we're playing outside!

I trimmed bushes, removed a couple of random plants/bushes, and found that massive rock. Not bad for one naptime!

Safety first, even for the doggy.

Millie can make a birthday party from almost nothing. Her cake even had a candle!

He sat there for a good 10 minutes, pushing the gears around and around!

Little things

Rockin' out at Tim's open house

Putting off the day a little longer with a show in Mom and Dad's bed

Some beautiful flowers from a sweet friend. I actually took this because I had to throw them away - one of the flowers smelled so bad I couldn't take it! Not sure which one but I'd like to know for future reference.

I didn't get to have Mom's au gratin potatoes on Easter so I had to make my own. Max didn't seem to mind.

No caption needed

Every morning I read an article from the Ensign to Tyler as he drives. On this particular morning Millie wasn't awake yet, and Max just sat next to me flipping through his own books as I read. Love this sweet boy.

We're going through a major painting phase. Millie said to me, "Mom, I just like painting and eating."

She said, "Mom, I'm flying!" and didn't understand why I was laughing so hard. One day I'll show her Titanic and she'll get it.

Picnic to celebrate the freshly mowed lawn. First time mowing this year.

Max loves otter pops just as much as his sister, but I don't trust him yet to handle these colorful, staining juices himself.

Girl vs. boy

Millie puts on a Tinkerbell dress, wings, a crown, sunglasses, a necklace, and a bracelet, then hauls out her pillow and two blankets, declaring that she's going camping. Looks more like glamping to me.

Meanwhile, Max is digging dirt from the cracks in the concrete. And eating it.
