Utah, day 8

On Saturday we checked out of the house, returned our rental car, and got to hang out with AJ, Mitchell, Garrett, McKenna, Brandon, James, and Heidi!

We got to watch a BYU football scrimmage! Go Cougars!!

After the scrimmage we walked to Wendy's so the kids could eat and then went to Cafe Rio so we adults could eat. Yummmmm.

I had my ring cleaned and fixed up while we were there. I felt like a giddy engaged girl again with a shiny ring on my finger! Couldn't stop staring at it.

After hanging out at AJ and Mitchell's apartment, Tyler and AJ dropped me and the kids off at my grandma's house, where Mom and Sarah were waiting. Max fell asleep on the way there and was out the whole time!

In fact, Max stayed asleep through the visit and then through the transfer to the car again! I wonder if he was tired? We enjoyed our visit with Grandma.

From Grandma's house we started our journey to Texas! We had a great time and were ready to go home.

Meanwhile, Tyler had a fun night with his brothers. He and AJ hiked the Y.

Tyler went to church with AJ and Mitchell the next day and then they took him to the airport so he could head to Canada for his business trip!

Tim and Lauren's wedding

Tim and Lauren were sealed in the Payson temple on Aug. 21. It was a beautiful day and they are so happy!

It was super windy!!

The newlyweds!

The family love triangle is finally complete!

Above are the couples, below are the sibling pairs.

After pictures they had a luncheon and then were off on their honeymoon!

We went home and enjoyed the leftover Magleby's chocolate cake. Obviously.

Utah, Day 6

I got a last-minute haircut that morning. I had just washed my hair and was trying to do it and I couldn't stand it anymore... Luckily a nearby hair studio had an opening.

Tyler picked me up with the kids asleep in the back so we drove down to Provo. We drove around and reminisced, had a J-Dawg, and went to BYU to walk around campus for a bit.

Behind Tyler is our first apartment!

At the MOA

Tyler introduced the kids and me to the BYU cookies n cream milk. Yum.

After a little more wandering and playing we headed home to get ready for the reception. This was a long effort, since I was to braid all the little girls' hair. It was really fun!

The above photo is shared at great expense to me... Not a flattering angle. I braided and Mom curled!

The reception was so fun! It was held at Sleepy Ridge golf course in Orem. It was beautiful. We really enjoyed the food, and  the kids really loved dancing.

It was so fun to have so many Juergens there! The kids were being total stinkers at this point (Millie had just thrown up all over herself and Max was obviously not having it anymore). But it was chaotic fun having so many people to visit with - a great night!

Utah, Day 5

Wednesday morning we packed up the cars again, said goodbye to Grandpa and Grandma, and headed to Utah Valley.

Oh the things that entertain kids. Millie, Madi, and Kelsey were tying each other up for a good hour! And Max was totally enthralled with that boot that Belle uses as a chew toy.

We had so much stuff in the car there was hardly room for Millie back there! At one point a bin of clothes tipped over on her. Instead of yelling for help or something, she just said, "Clothes!" For some reason it was so funny and Mom and I laughed so hard.

Eva was so sweet to hold Max's hand in the car when he was getting restless, even if it meant she had to lay under a box. Ha!

Mom took me and the kids to pick up a rental car and then we were on our own for a bit. I took the kids to Wendy's by our old apartment and we had the most wonderful lunch - they both ate all of their food without argument and we just had a great time!

Then we got settled in the house my parents rented in Pleasant Grove. Pink!

That afternoon we got to go see Giselle, Austin, Sydney, and Hudson!! We didn't get to see them at the dude ranch so I was super excited - it had been too long. I wish our kids could play together more! It was so fun catching up with them.

We drove by the Timpanogos Temple on our way out. So beautiful and Millie loved seeing "our temple," as she calls it. (Anywhere anyone gets married is "theirs.")

That night Tyler flew in! We were so happy to finally have him with us!

Utah, Day 4

A day in Spring City doing nothing was just what we needed!

I got to go for a run by myself. This was good for two reasons: it was nice to be alone for a minute, and no one saw how often I had to walk. Altitude is real folks!

Max got very attached to this lacrosse stick. It was kind of adorable.

Millie showing me how to play toilet tag.

We just couldn't go inside! We seriously spent all morning outside. Utah weather is amazing.

Monka curled Millie's hair and she looked like a little teenager!

Drawing pictures/thank you notes for Grandpa and Grandma.

Millie, Madi, and Kelsey sat on the driveway and traded rocks for over an hour. Millie got to choose 3 to bring home, which was sad because she wanted all of the ones piled in her shirt!

She asked for a snack. I got up to get her one and came back 30 seconds later to find her asleep! Fun is so exhausting.
