Catching up November

Millie cracks me up with the unconventional ways she plays with her toys, especially her princesses!

Halfway through the month here.

We had a fun little cold spell and I instantly wished for summer back.

One of the great joys of my life right now is feeding Max. I know it's mostly because of our battles with Millie, but it just makes me so happy to see Max eat what I make! He loves food and I love him for it. And other things too, obviously. Oh I just adore this boy.

The messes grow ever larger as he grows more mobile and curious.

Millie puts her crown on Max's head at least once a day. He's a good sport about it for now.

Millie and Max grow more interactive every day and I love it! She saw the break in the clouds (below) and asked if there were holes in the sky. I love the way kids think.

More vehicle drama. Merry Christmas to my car.

Some fall baking: pumpkin bread (2 mini-loaves with chocolate chips, per Millie's and Daddy's request) and a Kentucky Chocolate Chip Pie for Pie Night.

Millie's princesses had a bath in some dish water the other day. 

Millie asked for a pink car shopping cart and I was pretty positive they didn't have pink ones... thankfully I was wrong. Also, the baking isle on the day before Thanksgiving almost equals Black Friday at Wal-Mart. Insanity.

Triple J Ranch

We got to visit the Triple J Ranch on Saturday November 8th with Gigi, Poppy, Heidi, and James. MetroNational had their Ranch Roundup and it was a fun-packed day!! The weather was perfect and there was so much to do at the ranch. They had pony rides, a petting zoo, camel rides, an obstacle course, rock climbing, several roller coaster-type rides, carnival games, a hayride, face painting, and of course yummy food! It was fun to see friends we hadn't seen in a while too.

My phone was dead the whole day so I have zero pictures! I'm hoping to gather the ones that everyone else took, there are a lot. For now, Poppy made a video that sums up the day well!

"Mommy, why is that doggy green?"

Millie's not a crust-eater, but she sure lines them up nicely.

Running errands with a baby is like running errands by yourself compared to going with two kids! Also, vampire grin. The middle teeth have broken through now so I'm glad to have some pictures of this funny smile.

My friend calls scenes like this Mount Washmore and I think it's pretty perfect. 2 additional loads not pictured. Someday I'll get the hang of doing a bit each day and not letting it build up!

The Baker's blanket is coming along nicely. Not sure why that navy always looks black in pictures.

This is where I found Millie after her "nap." Sunday shoes on, sitting on a box of Pull-Ups, and singing "I Love to See the Temple" while holding her little wooden temple.

Max will eat anything and everything we give him. It is amazing.

Sarah-sitting

Monka and Ampa went to Utah for a few days last week but Sarah stayed behind, so we got to stay with her at their house! We went up Wednesday afternoon (would have been Wednesday morning but that was the day of the garage incident) and came back Friday evening. It was awesome to have Tyler's commute shrink to 5 minutes, to hang out with Sarah and pick her up from school each day, and to have access to TV for a couple of days. 

Because we left in the afternoon, the traffic was awful. After the garage stuff I was already in a bad mood and the traffic just really made me mad. Between Christmas music and this cute boy's lips, we made it there smiling.

Millie played with Sarah's Bitty Baby stuff constantly, and Max like to eat it too.

There was a crew doing some repairs on the outside of the apartment and they happened to start re-constructing the deck on the bedroom where we were sleeping, which meant holding Max was the only way to get him to nap. It was so noisy.

The weather was beautiful so we enjoyed some walks outside and the actually-changing leaves!

Those little solar-powered toys have now been moved into Millie's room because Max has found that he can reach them! Poor things.

A cute cake Gigi brought to us for Halloween.

These two were dancing crazy on Saturday morning. The dancing becomes much more acrobatic when Daddy is involved!

Fell asleep mid-crawl.

We jumped on the thankful tree bandwagon. It's pretty fun. I'm excited for the leaves to cover the tree, because obviously it is not very good!! I am still not an artist.

I had a little incident and broke the garage door. Luckily, we have a friend in our ward who is a garage door repairman! He came and saved the day.

Max is officially really hard to take pictures of. He would crawl away cackling as if he knew how frustrated I was!

We had a jam-packed day of fun. Pumpkin hunt at the park in the morning (posted before), Millie's playgroup for a little bit while I snuggled with Max, visiting Monka after lunch, visiting Daddy at work and trick-or-treating around his office, a visit from Gigi and Poppy, and trick-or-treating around the neighborhood! 

2 sleeping pics in one day. I know. But he's just so sweet! And his almost-splits are pretty funny. That kid is surprisingly flexible.

Millie decided she wanted to be Belle for trick-or-treating! Gotta love a 2-year old with options.

Our neighborhood has a cool system for handing out candy - we all go to the edge of our driveways so that the kids don't have to walk up to the doors! It saves time, it's safer, and it gets everyone out and seeing each other. 

Millie and Daddy had a fun time trick-or-treating together. I stayed and passed out candy while Max slept. Millie came home with a full bucket and I went inside with an {almost} empty one, so I'd say it was all around a successful night!
