Another day, another park

We finally checked out the new park in the neighborhood near us. The boys and I actually found it on accident one day and ended up playing for quite a while. I took a bunch of pictures so we could show Millie how cool it was! It's such a fun park.

We took Millie there a day or two later and then decided we had to go back again and take Dad this time. It was a fun FHE activity.

Max actually requested 3 different pictures from on top of these logs. He just kills me with cuteness sometimes!

Trip to San Antonio, part 2

I hoped the kids would sleep in on Saturday morning after going to bed so late the night before, but of course they were all up by 7:30 playing!

Andrew made us yummy pancakes for breakfast, we packed up, and headed to SeaWorld!

We spent the day going around to as many shows as we could. First up was sea lions and otters.

Then of course killer whales.

We stopped for lunch and these cute kids were too cool for our table.

Harvey was being so cute and talkative. He was such an angel all day (as long as he was being held of course).

We took any opportunity we could to get in air conditioned areas. Definitely hung out with the penguins for a long time even though the smell was atrocious.

We let the kids cool off in a splash pad too. Millie insisted she and Eva wear the same shirt and that I do her hair like Eva's. She sure looks up to her sweet cousin!

And Max loves Leighton as much as ever, even though he says his name correctly now. Darn.

All in all we saw two sea lion and otter shows, two killer whale shows, and a dolphin and beluga whale show. The shark tanks were super cool too.

These kids spent several minutes trying to get a photo booth to work (without putting money in it of course). So I told them I'd take a picture for them.

It was just about the hottest day ever! We had so much fun. We arrived just after 10am and left at 5pm. We said goodbye to the Webbs and drove home from SeaWorld. I caught another sunset in the rearview mirror to close out the trip. We can't wait for our next family adventure!

Family Fun Day

We decided to have some fun together on our last day of summer before school started. We landed on going to MOD Pizza and Monkey Joe's. I thought this attempt at a family selfie wasn't great but then I saw we caught Harvey spilling a cup of water! And that, my friends, is why we should always sit outside.

Monkey Joe's is an indoor play place with inflatables. Mostly slides. The kids had so much fun!

I spent a lot of the time we were there trying to get Harvey to nap. Never was successful.

The big inflatable obstacle course kind of intimidated Max. We tried to get him to go on it by watching how much fun it was but he never did go for it.

Millie had so much energy and no fear the whole time. It was so fun to watch her.

And we ended the day with a walk/ride around the block. I felt like it was the end of an era with no kids in school! We're in for some big changes!

Weekend adventures

We lucked out this last weekend and Tyler was home with us on Friday night! So our weekend started Thursday night. Tyler took the big kids out for frosties and fries while I hung out at home with Harvey.

A funny text from Tyler while out with the big kids. Max is so funny sometimes.

Tyler needed his license renewed so we drove out to the DPS in a small town. I'd been there to renew my license a few years ago and it was super fast and not crowded, but apparently everyone else got off work on Friday morning and was there too! We were there an hour, which was still better than going to the place close to us.

Harvey had slept 12 hours the night before so we were all super happy about that!

Having a little snack outside the van while waiting for Dad.

After lunch we went to see Beauty and the Beast. The kids and I had already seen it but we had to go again to show Tyler! It's the best!

Millie wore this new dress from Gigi all weekend. It's so cute and I want it in my size!

Super flexible.

Saturday morning I wanted to get outside. We didn't have a ton of time but Tyler was so sweet to pump up all the bike tires so we could go for a little ride. It was Harvey's first time in the bike trailer!

Max was so sweet to Harvey while we were riding and he feel asleep by the time we got back!

Next was Cy-Palooza! More coming in another post because there's lots more on that.

After that we went to Harris County Smokehouse with Gigi, Poppy, Both, Heidi, James and Wes to celebrate Tyler's and Wes's birthdays!

We also went to see Born in China (2 movies in one weekend! We were on a roll) which was so adorable. I loved it. We went to Gigi and Poppy's to hang out for a little while before heading home for baths and bedtime. Gigi got the kids some new summer clothes and these boys looked adorable in their matching jammies.

Of course then Millie requested a picture with Harvey, and how can I say no to that??

Max is learning to write some letters. E is my favorite.

Falling asleep mid-meal. We did make it through but he was so tired!

Weekends are just the best.
