10 on 10: January 2020

1. Hazel found the dishwasher! Here we go.

2. One of my favorite parts of the morning is when the kids are all ready for school, and we pause by the door to say a prayer before walking out to the bus.

3. Another snippet of life currently I want to remember: backpacks in order of who gets on the bus first, kids running around playing tag.

4. I’ve seen a possum roaming the neighborhood a few times recently. Kind of creepy because I’m pretty sure they’re supposed to be nocturnal? And they’re just nasty creatures.

5. Working on learning letters with this boy.

6. Pausing during lunch - “Oh hang on, I gotta kiss Hazel!”

7. Heart melting cuteness!

8. A movie night, complete with a popcorn picnic.

9. Dad stole Hazel for some play time when she was between her outfit from the day and her pajamas. I don’t blame him one bit.

10. Still very into chess over here - even with a movie going Max still wanted to finish the game.

10 on 10: August 2019

1. Sweet sisters.

2-8. A fun day at Typhoon Texas! Grandpa’s company picnic was there and they invited us. We had yummy food and had a great time going on water slides and floating in the lazy river.

We were trying to get a picture with everyone but some had to leave before others got back from their last rides. It was a fun day with Grandma, Grandpa, Tim, Lauren, and Sarah.

9. We took his wet suit off before getting him in the car, knowing he’d crash on the way home! He didn’t even make it out of the parking lot before falling asleep.

10. Millie did an act of service for Max and made his bed, including arranging his many stuffed animals nicely. She also left a note that said, “I did this. Love, Millie” that made me laugh so hard!

10 on 10: June 2019

1 & 2. First bath in the baby tub for Miss Hazel! She loved it and has been quite the water baby ever since.

3. Cari and her kids came to Texas a few days before the Juergens Reunion so we got to have a fun swim day with them at Gigi and Poppy’s!

4 & 5. Being adorable in her cute swim suit from Gigi, which was apparently exhausting.

6. Sorry, couldn’t stop there.

7. The first of MANY matching outfits and pictures, I’m sure.

8. Millie and Piper totally hit it off. They decided it was a good idea to color, but chose to do it outside. At 4pm. In June. In Houston. Crazy girls!

9. Max and Thys hit it off too! And Harvey tried to tag along, as usual.

10. They set up quite an elaborate battle and had so much fun!

9 on 10: May 2019

1. The sunflowers the kids planted at the rodeo started to get flower buds!

2 & 3. A morning game of Twister - now it has an option to put limbs in the air which always cracks me up.

4. Harvey pushed himself around on the truck using only his toes for quite a while.

5. Making a birthday banner for Dad!

6. Finished project for baby girl! Car seat/nursing cover. So easy and SO cute.

7 & 8. Birthday date and last date before baby! The temple and Chuy's. Predictable and wonderful.

9. Joined the party at Gigi and Poppy's with the kids. It's so fun watching anything on the big game room TV!

10 on 10: April 2019

1. I started to feel like I was getting shin splints and then realized I'd been wearing the same running shoes for 5 years! Way too long, way too many miles. Found these on major sale and my legs felt so much better almost instantly.

2. A storm a couple nights before blew down this big, beautiful old tree right by the park. It was sad to see it all chopped up.

3. Millie's outfit was especially awesome, had to remember it.

4. Max is getting to be quite the good little reader!

5-7. Picnic lunch in the backyard.

8. Anytime I lie down this boy joins me and wants to snuggle. Who could say no to that?!

9. First splash pad visit of the year.

10. About 5 minutes in, Millie and Harvey crashed into each other and fell. Harvey was fine but Millie had some pretty scraped up knees and feet that were really painful for a few days.

10 on 10: January 2019

1. Wanted to document a favorite breakfast of mine this pregnancy. This is totally shocking, as I've never liked eggs. But with an english muffin, some bacon, and cheese, I'm in!

2-3. Millie's new room, before painting or decorating obviously.

4. The boys' room.

5. Harvey requested to have a one spike hairdo like Max often does. He rocked it.

6. The big kids recently started doing piano lessons (just with me at home). I wasn't sure about starting Max this young but he really likes it!

7. But he did not like that we didn't have time to walk down the toy aisles at Target. He thankfully protested the situation quietly.

8. A lot of baby stuff was on clearance and I got a few things for baby girl. She really doesn't need much but I think I spent $11 total here? Couldn't just leave without them!

9. Playing go fish at Gigi and Poppy's house. The kids also love Old Maid as of late.

10. Millie requested that I color with her in lieu of a bedtime story. It's so fun to color with her - she chooses the colors and tells you where to use them. It was nice to have a few minutes with just Millie at the end of the day and a good reminder that I need to make that more of a priority.
