Max’s birthday

We can't believe this sweet boy is 7! Max had a great birthday. He was happy to go watch Harvey's soccer game, and Gigi and Poppy were sweet to bring donuts for everyone and his birthday presents to the game. We had a fun family outing to Cici's Pizza, because this boy loves pizza and breadsticks! Gooey cake was his birthday cake request, his favorite. We love our Max so much.

We kept a tally while we were there of how much Max ate. This guy can put it away. I wish I still had the stats because it was impressive! He gets his money's worth from a buffet for sure!

Some things about Max at 7 years old:

- Loves LEGOs. Loves building them and then doing all kinds of imaginative play with his cousins.

- Max remains our best eater. Feeding him is really fun. The only thing he doesn't like that puzzles me is chocolate.

- He is as sweet as they come. He's especially good with toddlers, he just plays with them on their level and it's adorable.

- Max is eager to please us and he himself is easy to please.

- He loves doing affirmations with us in the morning.

- Max is very routine oriented - he needs and likes his sleep, likes it when things are normal.

We love our Max so much!

End of March

A chicken nugget picnic in Gigi and Poppy's backyard.

The Westons got another puppy and everyone wanted a turn to hold and a picture with Angel.

Millie is so funny! I love reading the things she brings home from school.

Some cute soccer fans on a cold spring morning.

All he wants for Easter is his two front teeth!

The big freeze in February killed most of our landscaping in the front. It was quite a process getting everything ripped out and later put back together, and these two were fun little helpers!

Gigi and Poppy brought donuts for after a soccer game one day and these two girls weren't sad about that at all.

Super proud of his police officer gear he got from the dollar store.

Go Tough Rhinos!

Just Hazel

Hazel is just at a fun and adorable age and I don't want to forget any of it! So picture overload of just our crazy Hazy.

First braids. She wasn't so sure about them.

Spring break-ish

I did a little better on uploading pictures this time - they're not out of whack completely, but they are definitely in reverse order. This was memorable stuff around spring break 2021.

Millie got braces! She is in what they call Phase 1, just needed to correct an overbite. The orthodontist suspects that she'll need another round when she's older, but this will help her jaw stay in good alignment and if we're lucky there won't be another round. She looks super cute with them and has been a trooper about it.

We went to the zoo with Heidi, Wes, and Claire. Maybe Tyler came too? I don't remember for sure. Always a fun, hot time at the zoo.

Hazel was funny and cute, as per usual. This first pic was one she took of herself that I thought was hilariuos.

Tim and Lauren had their first baby! We were so excited to meet Lucy.

A fun High class. I'm so grateful to have lots of family around, and they've all been so kind and supportive of me in this new venture.

Took brownies to a family gathering, and if you look hard enough in the right bottom corner you may see someone tried to claim her piece with a hand print. Or region of pieces haha.

First swim of the year on March 12! These kids are crazy.

Welcome spring

We were very happy when our weather went back to normal, very happy to resume normal Texas winter life. Very spring-like haha. I can't get these pictures to go in the correct order, and I'm getting to this a year after the fact so the details are probably fuzzy, but something is better than nothing!

Harvey comes up with the best outfits. Stripes on stripes on stripes were the goal this particular day.

We love our new van, and I especially love how I can clean it so easily. Everything folds or moves or comes out and it's easy to get really clean. Also, not eating in the car is a game changer! We started that rule when we got our first van and it keeps the mess under control somewhat.

We love going to the nature trail when the weather is nice!

A cute scene, lots of kids playing Play-Doh. I really do like the preschool gig.

Max was very proud of a LEGO creation he made without instructions.

Cute girl on the nature trail. Maybe I snapped this because I was so happy to not be carrying her? It definitely is not the norm.

The big kids off to school. Wanted to wear last year's field day shirts and semi-match.

Playing chess with Harvey during nap time. He didn't know how to play so we just battled with the cool-looking pieces.

Not sure if she found what she was looking for or if destruction was the only goal here.

When babies find their pockets! So cute.

A cute huddle. Harvey started soccer at the end of February and didn't super-love it but had a good time at practices with his friends from preschool and church. And of course his cousin Wes!

I love it when Millie wants to make or cook things! I was going to make muddy buddies one day and Millie asked if she could do it instead. You go, girl!

A fun baby shower for Lauren. All three sides of the love triangle represented here.

Getting some encouragement and pep talking from Dad.
