Christmas week

Biggest class ever for Christmas High Fitness! It was so fun. We went for it even in the rain and chilly temps.

We will forever remember this as the Christmas of the minivans!

We got to go to Santa’s Wonderland with the Juergens crew! Somehow we had never been there before but we’d love to go back. It was so fun and we enjoyed perfect weather.

Since we didn’t make it out to see Santa at Grammy’s mall we were excited to see him here! 2020 style, behind plexiglass, but oh well.

Look who made it on the nice list!

McKenna and I got to teach High together twice - once just in the backyard but once at my regular class. She’s amazing and we had a great time doing it together!

A quick family pic on Christmas Eve!

We tried out a fun new park and this was the only picture I took unfortunately.

Tyler suggested that this year, in lieu of a sibling gift exchange, we do some kind of experience instead. We came up with a scavenger hunt and split the adults into teams. They went around the area looking for ingredients to build ginger houses and then they got to build them. They turned out so great and we all had a fun time!

Christmas morning was magical! I made the kids pause for a picture again and I am so glad. I love these so much.

Gigi and Poppy were all ready with a table set up for Millie and Max to go to town using their new LEGOs!

Harvey and Becca, hanging around at the park.

Poppy has a patient that teaches Strike classes at Lifetime, and she came out and did a class for us. It was SO fun! I have missed those Lifetime classes so much. Also I was very sore afterward!

We got to go to the movie theater and these two sure loved the snacks.

Hazel thought she was so funny, laying on the restaurant floor and smiling at me.

Halloween 2020

Halloween fell on a Saturday this year, which was really fun. We started the day with a bike ride to the park. Harvey rode almost the whole way - about a mile and a half!

We go see Nana and Botz every year on Halloween. This time they showed us their homemade Trump sign, their last one had been stolen from their yard! So they put this one in the yard and take it in each night. Pretty sad that they have to do that. We love Botz and Nana!

We went to the Westons for dinner and root beer in dry ice. We’d never done that before and it was very impressive (to me and the kids haha).

Hazel got so excited about every pumpkin she saw.

Cute trick or treating crew!

And another round with Wes, though I never caught all the kids together.

General Conference weekend, Oct. 2020 edition

I was not a great picture taker this Conference weekend! But we so enjoyed our time with family, listening to our church leaders. I have especially looked forward to the last two conferences, with all that is going on in the world. So many wonderful talks were shared.

We spent Saturday with the Webbs and Westons, and Sunday we went to Gigi and Poppy’s house. Gigi was so sweet and thoughtful and had everything prepared and ready to go for a great conference listening experience!

Unrelated, but it was on the same day so we’ll put it here - we went for a walk and discovered that Hazel loves to hang. The girl is unusually strong!

First day of school, and the day before

Millie and Max were excited to go back to school! It had been an unexpectedly long time since being there. I was nervous about how they would handle wearing masks all day every day but they have been troopers. They don’t really complain about it at all!

So proud of this 3rd grader. She was so excited to get to go upstairs this year.

And so proud of this 1st grader! Can’t believe he’s that old.

And this cutie started preschool the very same day! We have preschool Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. We had signed him up to go to the high school’s preschool like Max did, but with all the changes they had to make due to the pandemic we decided to back out for this year. Hopefully things will be back to normal for next year so he can have that experience too!

But backing up a little bit, we got to have a fun day on the boat the day before! Garrett and McKenna came down for the weekend too and it was great. We so loved our time with Gigi, Poppy, and the crew on the boat this summer!
