Family fun

The Sunday after Christmas we were so excited to see Garrett and McKenna! We went to church with the Juergens family and celebrated Garrett and Mitchell's birthdays. Awesome part about twin birthdays is that you get to have 2 birthday desserts!! Winning!

We also took family pics since we finally had everyone together. Love this family I've married into.

Christmas 2015

We woke up pretty early Christmas morning. Millie got up around 5 and lay by me begging to go downstairs. By 6 she had woken up Max and was getting really frustrated and teary so we decided we couldn't hold her back anymore! We woke up Mitchell and AJ (sorry guys!) and sang at the top of the stairs (Juergens tradition, so fun). We went down and Max knew immediately what Santa brought for him. He went straight there and hardly moved away from his train table for a long time!

The boys got yoyo's in their stockings and I discovered yet another thing Tyler is amazing at doing.

Funny moment: Millie got a little wooden puzzle from Gigi and Poppy and was so determined to figure it out. She probably worked on it for 20 minutes straight, refusing to play with anything else til it was done! Love her determination.

We ate a yummy traditional breakfast of breakfast casserole and orange rolls and then opened the wrapped presents. Our kids were pretty spoiled this year! As were we!

We spent the rest of the day playing with our new toys, eating, watching movies, and doing a Christmas puzzle.

Another funny moment: Mrs. Claus sewed a doctor coat for Millie. It was her first sewing project she has ever done completely by herself with no help from her mom, and it included sleeves and a collar. Mrs. Claus was pretty proud of herself once it was done! Millie, of course, was a giant stinker and wouldn't put the coat on. For hours. Once she finally did, I caught the gem below. I'm thinking next year we will ask Santa for 1 present each. I think she was a little over-stimulated or something.

Heidi and James and Nana and Botz joined us for a yummy dinner and games. It was so great to spend Christmas with so much family!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve day at Grammy's with the Wichmann crew. Grammy is such a great hostess - yummy food, fun games, great company! We had fun playing 4 on a couch and Loaded Questions. The kids were so good while we were there. Max wasn't feeling well and fell asleep on Tyler's shoulder for a while. Millie kept asking when it would be time to go back to Gigi's house - she couldn't wait to go to bed!!

We arrived at Gigi's, had yummy burgers for dinner, and opened new jammies from Gigi and Poppy. Had to attempt some self-timer family pictures.

We tried to watch a Christmas movie, but after a few minutes Millie just couldn't take it anymore and begged to go to sleep! So we put out some cookies and milk for Santa and the reindeer food she made a few weeks ago and she ran to bed. Literally. Can she do that every day?

We watched a movie (The Good Lie) and helped Santa unload his gifts once he came! I wanted to wake up the kids right then but held myself back.

Christmas break-ing

We wanted to fit in a lot of fun things and see a lot of people over Tyler's 2 weeks off of work. A crazy calendar made me feel like I had a handle on it going in.

We did gingerbread houses for FHE one night. I only took one picture and lots of video, but Max couldn't wait to eat his gingerbread! Good thing he didn't eat any hot glue haha

We got mulch for our yard and trimmed the bushes one last time. The yard is looking spiffy! And it ended in a wrestling match/game of tag.

We got to watch the BYU bowl game with the Morris family and see Tim and Lauren!

Tyler, AJ, and I went to see Star Wars one night. Gigi and Poppy watched the kids and sent us the pic below of Max. He finally gave in at 9:30 after being up since 6am and no nap!

We went to the mall with Gigi, AJ, and Heidi and Millie got to ice skate for the first time! She totally loved it and can't wait to do it again.

These brothers did a barre workout and Millie joined in! I was laughing so hard.

I was stretching after a morning run with Sharon and just loved the glow of our tree.

Catching up December

Millie's pictures get more detailed and elaborate every day!

We enjoyed some seriously warm weather and played outside a lot.

For the last ward playgroup this year the kids decorated cookies/cones. It was really chaotic and crazy and fun.

YW Christmas party. We had a fun white elephant exchange and yummy food. Love these girls.

I loved having Christmas movies on while I worked on things at night (While You Were Sleeping and Christmas cards below).

My mom brought some sewing patterns to us and Millie caught sight of a pattern for nativity clothes. She spent hours pouring over it, deciding who we would all play on Christmas Eve.

She also loved decorating and re-decorating this play dough Christmas tree she got at preschool!

A pic to send to Daddy. He went to LA for a week-long training and we missed him!
