Max turns 4!

Max turned 4 on the 27th of March! We sure love this sweet, growing up boy. Millie reminded me in the morning that she had donuts for breakfast on her birthday, so it was only fair that Max did too. Kids won't let you forget stuff, even in the rush of a school morning. So off to get donuts we went. His smile was worth it!

Max kept doing tricks and saying, "Look what I can do now that I'm 4!"

His birthday fell on a preschool day, so after preschool was over we had his friends stay after for a dinosaur birthday party. We had lunch (dinosaur chicken nuggets), made paleontologist hats with dino stickers and their names, and hunted for dinosaur eggs. It was Max's first birthday party and I think he had a great time!

Max was pretty happy to get a new-to-him bike for his birthday, which he can ride very well now after a couple weeks of practice!

He requested MOD Pizza for dinner. Pizza is one of his favorite foods!

Some things about Max at 4 years old:

- He is our rockstar eater. He will try lots of things and rate everything with a thumbs up, which is high praise in this house.

- Max loves so many things, and loves them so much. He was hard core into trains for a long time, then cars, and now we're clearly in a dinosaur phase. He can tell you what pretty much any dinosaur is and lots of things about it too. Gigi and Poppy gave him lots more dinosaurs for his birthday and he's very excited to have exactly 101 of them. Wow.

- I've mentioned this before, but Max ends up in our bed every night. He loves to snuggle and doesn't like to be alone.

- We spent most of this last year potty training Max and are so happy he's doing well now. That was a big hurdle for him (all of us!) and we're so proud of him for working it out.

- Max loves his brother and sister so much. He's always eager for Millie to come home from school and play with him, and gives Harvey probably 100 kisses every day.

- His primary teachers tell us often how impressed they are with him. He is so well-behaved and participates well and that makes us so happy. He is such a good boy.
