Our sweet Millie turned 7! Hard to believe she is that old, sometimes it still feels like she should still be a little toddler or something. So crazy. We had a little birthday party for her while everyone was still off of school and it was lots of fun. Millie wanted an art party so the kids decorated aprons, painted sun catchers, decorated hats/purses, and dressed up their own cupcakes before eating them. They also played in the backyard a little bit.
On Millie's actual birthday, she wanted to decorate her own cake.
Her grandparents came over for dinner and cake. She felt so loved!
Millie's gift from us was her own set of scriptures. We figured it would be good for her to have her own set and get in the habit of reading leading up to her baptism and just in general. She has really loved it. She uses the little scripture marking crayons we also got her to highlight the scriptures she likes. She loves doing scripture chases with Dad and is really good at using the tabs on the side to find where she's going.
Some things about Millie at 7 years old:
- Millie is just such a happy little girl. She has such a naturally joyful spirit and it's one of our favorite things about her.
- She is a collector. She loves to carry around a little purse or bag filled with tiny treasures she has collected. In fact, I have to periodically clean out her room when she's not there so that those tiny treasures don't take over!
- She was never a snuggler as a baby but loves to be cozy now. If she wakes up before everyone else she'll frequently bring her pillow and blanket to the couch and snuggle up there. Snuggling with Dad is her favorite.
- Millie is very creative. She loves to draw, write, color, paint, whatever she can do with her hands. She also is great at coming up with games for her and Max to play. Her sense of style shows her creativity too! She always has some fun accessory on, or several.
- She is great with younger kids. It's so fun to see her interact with Harvey or any other little kid or baby. She is SO excited to have a little sister and I can't wait to watch them become best friends.
- Millie is very witty and quick. She gets jokes fast and knows how to make people smile.
We love this girl so much! Happy birthday Millie!
