Anniversary date

We celebrated 6 years of marriage on the 8th! So crazy. Tyler introduced me to The Melting Pot for dinner and then we went to see the waterwall. Dinner was amazing and it was so great to get away for a minute and reflect on our past, present, and future. Life is just so good with Tyler.

Baked potato cheddar fondue. AMAZING.

For a minute, I thought, "Wait... We are paying to cook our own meal?!?" But it was really fun and all cooking should be done like this (prepared and seasoned for you and cleaned up after you).

Should have taken a pic before we devoured the dessert. It was by far the best part and we have already decided we will go back and just order dessert sometime. And I want a fondue pot.

Waterwall! It was so pleasant since the sun was basically gone. There were tons of people around and it was a fun atmosphere. Just a tip for anyone visiting: park at the mall (Nordstrom) and walk the block over. Parking in that area is crazy.

When we are out just the two of us it becomes a game of selfie-taking. Had to switch it up.

6 years down, forever to go!

Little things

I went running with a friend and we didn't end up getting started until much later than we planned, meaning it was SO HOT. These kids were troopers.

And after all this talk of heat, Millie gets cold and wraps herself in a blanket just about every day.

A pretty sunset driving home one day. Now every time we see one, Millie asks if I want to take a picture of it.

Millie and Max are so snuggly in the mornings!

Even more cousin fun

Dress up is so much more fun with cousins!!

Max loves Tyler!

Bahama Bucks

Shopping with kids....

I tried to keep them together by telling them to make silly faces at people walking by. They loved it! People walking by got a kick out of it too.

Finally got these out-of-towners some Tex-Mex!

More cousin fun

After the beach, watching Finding Nemo

Everyone wanted to do flips with Grandpa, so they formed an orderly line.

Millie got to have a sleepover with her cousins on Tuesday night. I went with some youth to pull weeds in the temple grounds on Wednesday morning and met everyone at the mall afterwards. Max was so happy to see me, but Millie barely noticed!! She had so much fun with her cousins!

Ice cream sandwiches, because it is so. stinking. hot.

A day at the beach

On Monday we went to LaPorte to hit the beach!! It is well documented, which is good because I'm not sure when this will happen again. The sand is sooooo hot and pretty sharp, not to mention that it sticks to everything. But, we had a lot of fun, especially the kids!! Millie was in heaven building sand castles and being buried and swimming in the ocean.

L to R: Sarah, Linds, Charlotte, Steph, and Max and me. Cute Katelyn is in the front.

Possibly my favorite pic of the day. Cute Bryn!

This was the reaction whenever I put him down! Poor kid was not feeling 100%.

These girls turned Aunt Sarah into a mermaid.

Sisters visit

Two of my sisters came into town! It had been a year since I'd seen Steph and almost two years since I'd seen Linds, so I was pretty darn excited. We got to first see them at my parents house for dinner on Sunday.

On the way up, Millie got a bit creative with her princesses

The kid table

Dessert picnic

The kids are a little obsessed with catching lizards in the courtyard. They had about ten in a big jar after not too long.

We love having family visit!

Date night

Last Saturday Tyler and I went to a baby shower for Kevin, Tyler's friend from growing up, and his wife Amy. We forgot to take a picture with them but it was fun to catch up!

We had left the kids with my parents so we headed back that way after the shower. My parents had taken the kids with them to a baptism and weren't back when we got there, so we got to have a little impromptu date! Tyler introduced me to Torchy's Tacos and it was so yummy. We looked at each other while standing in line and said, "Why don't we do this more??"

{I really don't know why my bicep looks so big and muscular in this picture. I assure you it is not.}
