Showered

We have some of the sweetest friends/ward members! Sharon and Brenda (and Allison) threw a baby shower for us last Saturday (the 15th). Lots of people came and even more dropped gifts by or brought them to us afterwards. I just felt so overwhelmed at how much love I felt from everyone! We're so thankful for such great friends and family.

10 on 11: March 2014

This month's 10 on 10 comes with a story! I didn't take any pictures on the 10th. So these are from the 11th. My parents and Sarah were staying with us, and my dad still is! So I was enjoying family company. Anyway....

I really liked looking out the window and seeing Mom and Dad smiling and chatting as Mom gave Dad a haircut first thing in the morning. They're still cute together after over 30 years!

And they had an audience.

Millie is obsessed with umbrellas right now.

I went to a doctor's appointment while Millie played with Monka and Aunt Sarah. I was dilated 3 cm! The doctor says baby boy could come anytime.

Just a small sampling of Millie and Sarah's fun together:

We took Mom and Sarah to the airport in the afternoon so they could fly to Utah for Legacy Conference. I'm the only one of my sisters that won't be there! Sad day. Millie and I got a good taste of rush hour traffic- it took us almost 2 hours to get home!

Tyler was very sweetly concerned about keeping baby boy on the inside a little longer.... He made dinner and totally took care of me.

So I stayed on the couch and put my always-swollen feet up.

Also, here's baby boy's blanket I finished recently. Thanks Pinterest!

Lastly, a little self-portrait attempt by Millie.

And that's the story of the day.

Little things

I have a lot of random pictures that don't really belong anywhere specific. So they belong here!

Occasionally Millie refuses to get out of the tub and will sit in it dry for a looooong time
Sending a pic to Daddy. Also, I'm showing in my face
I instagrammed this, but as I put a bag of Cadbury eggs into our shopping cart, Millie said, "Oh yes! Mommy eat 'em allll gone!" She sees everything, apparently.
A little mini-golf at Gigi's

Millie stepped on our bread in the shopping cart. Made for some funky-looking toast
A lazy picnic in the backyard

Sometimes I randomly turn around and find this

Things Millie says

-"Mommy, yisten to me!" usually repeated several times very quickly.

-She calls Heavenly Father "He Father" and the Holy Ghost the "funny ghost."

-"Oh, danks Mom!"

-A Millie prayer: "He Father, fank, bwess it, name a Christ Amen." At least she gets the 4 basic parts of a prayer in!!

-"How bout... dis one?" She says this the most when we're in a store and she sees something she wants. It's said in her sweetest voice, of course.

-Spaghetti is "skabetti"

-She used to say "dubby" for the letter W but has now corrected it, unfortunately!

And now, pictures.

This is how I found her after being in her room "napping" for an hour one day
She was obviously not sleeping

She missed Daddy and insisted on wearing his hat
Her favorite thing about Berry Hill is the free ice cream
She woke up at 6:30 am and asked for cinnamon toast and her new apron Monka gave her
Listening to baby brother's heartbeat... with a razor charger

One other thing of note: Millie has learned to open doors! This is one skill I was not pushing her to learn. It's not my favorite thing when she comes in our room at 4:30am asking for breakfast, but it makes Tyler's day when she busts in and wakes us up on the weekends saying, "Week up!"

Celebratory weekend

The client Tyler has been working for filed on Wednesday! This isn't the total end of busy season, but we'll celebrate every milestone we can. He had Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off of work, so we made a big list of things we wanted to get done. Mostly fun things.

Thursday: we (Tyler) moved the crib into the baby's room, Tyler and I went to the temple while Millie played with Gigi and Poppy, we went to dinner with Gigi and Poppy at Outback.

I mean, really.

Friday: We cleaned, stroller-shopped at BuyBuy Baby, wandered through Garden Ridge just because it's fun, did our taxes, and went to the park. Millie really enjoyed having a fast and strong daddy to throw her around and play with her... they were pretty adorable together!

Saturday: We made a donut run, Tyler and I toured the hospital where baby boy will be born, Millie played with our neighbors while we went, we all enjoyed a nap, and spent the evening at the church while Tyler caught up on stuff for his calling.

Sunday: It was just really nice to sit as a family in church again! We enjoyed a quiet afternoon and evening together, including popcorn and a movie. And a haircut for Tyler... after these pictures.

And thus ended the awesome weekend. It was just really great to spend some time together!
