Our Easter began as ours always do- "hunting" for eggs and seeing what the Easter Bunny brought! Except... the Easter Bunny left all the Easter gifts in the bags they were purchased in. Didn't even bring them out. Millie has no idea that there was anything besides the eggs! Maybe the Easter Bunny was up until 1:30am watching The Book Thief (great movie but bad idea being up so late!) and then got up at 6am, with 2 feedings in between. With little sleep and 9:00 church, some things were left behind. The Easter Bunny learned a few lessons this year, including learning to let go of the less important parts of our holiday traditions when needed! Anyways. Millie has been so excited for Easter for the last few weeks. She insisted on putting her fruit snacks in eggs and she practiced opening them all the time, asking if it was "Easter time" yet. But on Sunday, when it came time to actually hunt for eggs, Millie got really shy and froze up and wouldn't move or pick up eggs without serious encouragement. Maybe it was because we both had cameras pointed at her? Not sure. She ended up needing some assistance from Daddy.
We even had some eggs to hunt outside, thanks to a nice family in our ward! Too bad we forgot to turn off the sprinklers....

I had to get some quick pictures of these cute kiddos all dressed up for church.

|Max was much more still and cooperative!|
Tyler spoke in church and did a wonderful job! We brought Max to Sacrament Meeting so that I could hear Tyler speak, and it was so nice to be there. Gigi and Poppy came also, and I was so thankful to have some help the first time having both kids there, since Tyler was on the stand.
After church we went to Gigi and Poppy's house and had a yummy Easter dinner! Nana and Botz were there also. It's so great to celebrate holidays with family. We enjoyed a walk outside in the beautiful weather.
We had a great day reflecting on our Savior and all that can be ours because of Him. One of our greatest blessings is that we can be an eternal family! I'm so thankful for that.
