Zoobilee

Since we bought a zoo membership for this year we decided to take advantage of the members-only night they have called Zoobilee. We picked Tyler up from work and had a snack while we waited for it to open. Once we finally got in the kids were so excited to show Dad everything! First up, as always, were the sea lions.

We saw lots of animals and the zoo had little "passports" that the kids could get stamped and then turn in for an ice cream sandwich. They also had bouncy obstacle courses. Millie and Max were being so cute while waiting in line for their turn.

Tyler is super dad!

One of the best parts of the evening was watching the baby elephants swim in their little pond. It was so cute. So many of the animals were awake in the evening, which was a nice change from the hot days when they're usually asleep.

The reptile house... why is this the kids' favorite? At one point Millie couldn't see the snake that was in a cage and after I showed it to her, she said, "Oh! It was camouflaged." I had no idea she knew that word. It was hilarious.

They had a cute mural for the kids to color.

These meerkats were wrestling and fighting like crazy and it was so funny to watch.

Some construction sent us home a different way than usual and I loved these trees shading the street. It was a fun night!
